Privacy, for the app
and this website.

The app policy below comes from Vendroid’s source repository. Website hosting is described separately.

Vendroid privacy policy

Effective date: 13 October 2026

Vendroid is an open-source Android app maintained by Xnts0. This policy applies to the Vendroid FOSS app, including its Google Play beta and production releases. Privacy questions can be sent to contact@fhas.sa.

Files and USB drives

Vendroid accesses the USB drive you grant permission to and files or folders you select through Android's file picker. It uses this access to install, inspect, update, or repair Ventoy and manage boot image files. These operations run on your device. Vendroid does not upload USB contents, selected files, or their names to the developer. Installing Ventoy erases the selected USB drive after confirmation.

Network access

The bundled Ventoy payload works offline. If you choose to check for or download a Ventoy update, Vendroid connects over HTTPS to GitHub's API and official Ventoy release downloads. GitHub and its delivery providers receive ordinary connection information, including your IP address, requested resources, and the request's user-agent. GitHub may derive approximate location from an IP address and retain request information under its own policies. Their handling of that information is governed by GitHub's privacy statement. Vendroid does not attach personal files or USB contents to these requests.

Before accessing GitHub updates or project links, Vendroid asks for a birth date to check GitHub's minimum age of 13. It processes the birth date only on your device and keeps only an eligibility result in memory for the current app session. It does not save, back up, or transmit the birth date or eligibility result. GitHub access stays blocked until eligibility is established. Users under 13 can still use the bundled payload and all offline USB operations. The privacy policy is included in the app and can be read offline without entering a birth date.

Project links and Google Play links open external services whose own privacy policies apply. Google Play manages access to its service through its own account and parental controls.

Analytics, storage, and deletion

Vendroid has no user accounts, advertisements, analytics service, or remote crash reporting. Diagnostic messages are written to Android's local logs. The developer does not automatically receive those logs. If you choose to share a diagnostic report, review it first and remove information you do not wish to disclose.

App preferences and downloaded Ventoy payloads are stored locally. Clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove its private data. Android backup and restore may retain interface preferences according to your device settings and backup provider's policies. Downloaded Ventoy payloads are excluded from Android backup. Uninstalling Vendroid does not remove connection records retained by GitHub or its delivery providers; their privacy policies govern those records. Files on external USB drives remain until you delete or overwrite them. Revoking file-picker or USB permission stops the corresponding access.

Vendroid does not sell personal data. The developer operates no server that retains your app files or usage history. Information you send voluntarily in a support request is handled through the email or issue service you choose.

Changes

Future changes to Vendroid's data handling will be reflected here with a revised effective date. This policy is available from the app's About screen and its store listing.

This website

This is a static information website for Vendroid. It has no accounts, submission forms, advertising, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies. Fonts and images are served with the site, without third-party font or media requests.

Website hosting providers may process ordinary request information, including an IP address, the requested page, and browser headers, to deliver and protect the website. This is separate from the app’s offline USB operations. Visiting this website does not give it access to your phone’s files or USB drive.

Opening a GitHub link takes you to GitHub, where its own service terms and privacy policy apply. Using the contact email opens your chosen email service; information you send is handled through that service.
